Lottery vs T.P.O.I.

In both of the short stories there are examples of how people are denied help because they are protecting their personal intrestfor. For example, in "The lottery" just before Mrs. Hutchinson is stoned she is disputing that it was not fair but nobody helped and in "The Perils of Indifferance" a ship is turned away by the president that is depicted to have a huge heart. In "The Lottery" Mr. Summers says to stay with tridition beacuse he says it is the right thing to do and in "The Perils of Indifferance" it is depicted that Hitler says to kill the jews because it is the right thing to do. Both of these stories have Many connections these are just two that i discovered and are very true in every day life.

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke
